Happy indeed! I hope that everyone's holiday experiences were wonderful, or at least not too terribly painful. ;-)
I had a wonderful holiday myself. It's official...I'm engaged! He proposed on my birthday, and now we are in full-on wedding planning mode. Aiee! So far, so good, as we are paying for this ourselves. We've got a lot of help, which is most appreciated. D's friends, who are a Methodist clergy couple, will perform the ceremony at the husband's church near Savannah, and they are waiving the usual church fee! One major expense down. I have a ring, and we've decided on wedding rings, and that is another detail resolved.
I'm having fun planning away, and for those of you who speak with me regularly, if I get to be annoying with the wedding planning details, please say so. I'll try to be vigilant about not talking about it exclusively...it's like new parents who can only have a conversation about their baby. It's interesting for a little while, but it is not the only thing you have going for you, and I like hearing about other details of your lives.. And for those of you who are considerate of such things (HC, you're great about balancing baby news and life news! Give little N a hug from me), I thank you and will do the same.
